When asked about the flip, he compares it to one of bodyboarding's most forward thinking maneuvers ever, the "ARS"= Air Roll Spin. His coach later comments that it looked like a mixture of multiple sports all thrown together.

Don't live in a shell and think surfing or bodyboarding or skating or snowboarding is better than the other. Pick one but do them all and watch videos of other sports and think of the most universally technical maneuvers that no one has ever pulled before and do it! Better yet, document it. Push all the sports forward. You know a surfer is going to land a kick flip soon (if they haven't already), a bodyboarder is going to do a Christ Air (if they haven't already) and a skater is going to do a double back flip (if they haven't already). Snowboarders... start towing in from snow mobiles... (wait, they already do that). Well anyhow.. its summer, you are free. GO NOW!
